Navasota ISD to Participate in Technology Lending Program Grant

Navasota ISD is among a group of school districts in Texas to be awarded funds through the state's Technology Lending Program Grant to improve student access to electronic instructional materials. The goal of the program is to ensure that all students, including economically disadvantaged students, have dedicated access to a personal technology device. Navasota ISD is working to develop its technology infrastructure to support learning environments in which students could have individual, high-quality access to the Internet for learning purposes. To qualify for the program, a school district had to demonstrate that it has adopted digital instructional materials for one or more core foundation subject areas in one or more grade levels, it has a long-range technology plan on file, and it has provide professional development to teachers in the use of educational technology resources.
