The Navasota High School academic team won the District 18-3A UIL Academic Championship in March. Navasota students advanced to the regional competition in more than a dozen events including individual and/or team first-place finishes in speech, journalism, mathematics, computer science, and current issues and events. Two students, John Nalley and Carlos Zurita, have already secured a trip to state in CX Debate with their performance at the district meet. The regional competition takes place April 20 at Blinn College.
